History of Development
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of registry cleaning software programs available and RegCure is considered to be one of the best. There have been multiple versions of the software developed and the most recent version has numerous new features designed to make cleaning your registry and keeping your computer safe much easier than before. There has been a huge response regarding reviews of the software from the time that the first version was launched, many of them highly positive. RegCure is produced by a company called ParetoLogic. ParetoLogic was launched in 2004 for by four brothers and now consists of 118 professional employees. The company headquarters are located in British Columbia but software programs produced by the company have been downloaded throughout the world in 196 different countries. Other software products in addition to RegCure that have been developed and produced by ParetoLogic include PC Health Advisor, FileCure, DriverCure, Anti-Virus PLUS, Data Recovery Pro, Pgsurfer, Privacy Controls, XoftSpySE Anti-Spyware, Zheng Technology, and RevenueWire. While some of these software programs are designed for security purposes others are designed to enhance the overall perfromance of a computer as well as the user experience. ParetoLogic has received a number of well knowned awards in the software industry including the WCG Inclusion Award, the 2011 VIATeC Technology Product of the Year Award, a 2011 Profit 500 award, and an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, just to name a few.
Functionality
The RegCure software is meant to clean the Windows registry but its fnctions and benefits do not stop there. Some of the entries that the software was designed to remove include COM/ActiveX, uninstall entries, font entries, shared DLLs, program shortcuts, shell extensions, file/path references, missing program entries in Windows startup, invalid help files, and incorrect application paths. Additional features that the RegCure software provides are custom scanning, an automatic scanning scheduling tool, selection and removal of detected items, an ignore list option, automatic repair, backup and restore, and startup management. The entire package combined provides users with a comprehensive protection package.
Known Issues
Being that RegCure was developed and is produced by a well-known software company there are likely to be very few issues with the software. The production of multiple versions also has given the company the opportunity to fix any issues that may have been present in the earlier versions. While other similar software programs may have issues regarding error reporting there have been few or no reports of this regarding RegCure.
